Clinical Interests:
Most of my Career I have worked with Seniors which can involve adjustment to life state, adult children estrangement, Codnitive decline, Loss of career, grief and loss, health issues. I have focused on issues women may be struggling with. I also have expence in couples therapy with a fous on acceptance, strengthening intimacy, co-dependency and boundary issue, communication and conflict resolution.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize approaches that best meet my client’s needs. These may include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Processing and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. I’m certified in mediation and trauma informed care. I’m trained in Imago and the Gottman model for couples experiencing relationship problems. I work with seniors helping them adjust to life changes
I use evidenced based interventions delivered with compassion. I will bring my authentic self to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, which will facilitate a healing connection. I want my patients to feel they are emotionally safe and supported while they explore and work through any concerns they may bring to our sessions.
Hobbies:
I spend a great deal of time in my garden. I have a small dog and love to be with her as much as I can. I am a geneologist and love to search my ancesters, especially understanding the cultures they lived in.
