More About Jace Davidson
Clinical Interests:
I am interested in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief/ loss, life transitions, and more. As a former college athlete, I am also passionate about helping student athletes work through any challenges/problems they may be facing in and out of their sport. My experiences and training have included cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and other approaches. I also enjoy treating people suffering from performance anxiety, which can include, but is not limited to, their career, education, sports, relationships, and other aspects. Additionally, I find satisfaction in helping clients with their general goal-making. Overall, I am here to help you become the best version of yourself.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach to counseling and therapy is laid-back and relational, focusing on building a strong therapeutic connection that is built with trust, honesty, and emotional safety. I believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and comfortable enough to explore your strengths and what approach works best for you. If you’re looking for a therapist who isn’t afraid to crack a joke/ laugh, be direct, and create a safe environment for you to truly be yourself, we might be a great fit. Ultimately, I hope you find the right person who meets your needs and supports your growth.
Hobbies:
I was born and raised to be a huge Iowa Hawkeye, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears fan. It has gotten to the point where I let these teams dictate the mood I am in (yes, this is an area I am still working on improving, ha-ha!) As a past college athlete, I enjoy keeping myself active by lifting weights and running. Additionally, I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.
