More About Andrew VenHuizen

Clinical Interests:

I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families across the lifespan, helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and more. I am experienced in affirming and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and am committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful space where all clients feel seen and heard. I value the opportunity to walk alongside clients at different stages of their personal and emotional growth.

Clinical Approach:

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and grounded in authenticity and collaboration. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to be fully themselves. I draw from mindfulness practices, psychodynamic insight, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based cognitive and behavioral strategies. Together, we will move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, I enjoy getting lost in a good book, playing the piano, staying active, listening to podcasts, gaming, and unwinding with a movie.
