More About Aaron Ostler
Clinical Interests:
I am particularly passionate about exploring the topics of anxiety, depression, disassociation, mood disorders, life transitions, relational problems, and identity development. My background is in working with individuals who experience serious and persistent mental illness.
Clinical Approach:
I come from an existential and humanistic perspective, which means I support you in discovering a path that feels authentic and meaningful to you. I believe that building a strong trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective work, and I am committed to creating a safe, confidential space where you can explore your concerns and strengths. Whether you’re taking the first step or returning for a refresh, therapy can be a courageous act of embracing the unknown, and I am here to support you wherever you are in your journey.
Together, we will identify your goals and explore approaches that are effective and meaningful to you. I often incorporate evidence based methods such as CBT, ACT, DBT skills, other mindfulness-based approaches, and integrative techniques that foster self-awareness, establish equanimity, and help you find a sense of safety.
More than anything, my priority is to work with you in a way that respects who you are and meets your individual needs, helping you navigate challenges and discover new possibilities.
Hobbies:
I am an eternally curious person, and you will often find me reading or listening to audiobooks. When I am not reading, I enjoy taking bike rides, nature hikes, dog walks, gardening, and trying out the many different ways to connect with and explore the world.
